One Stop Careers Advice Shop

A new business start up contract funded by the North West Development Agency (NWDA) and Working Neighbourhood Fund is in place and delivery agents ‘Blue Orchid’ have started working in partnership with the Business Family aiming to meet the LAA target of 120 new businesses started this year.

• 1st December saw the launch of the Future Jobs Fund programme. The first 44 jobs included general labouring, museum attendant, admin, work in regeneration areas, classroom assistants, care and play workers and lots more. The ‘Adult Advancement Prototype’ is now well underway and has developed a single database containing information on all the advice services that people may need to improve their lives and also a customer relationship management system, which will ensure that workers referring people to other services can track their progress.
