Tameside Strategic Partnership Many Partners, One Direction

Looking to the Future

The Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership (CYPSP) has been looking at Children's Trust commissioning based on the national Commissioning Support Programme which draws upon a self-assessment and change plan. This self assessment report has been based on the last Partnership away day.

A CYPSP event, in November, involved over 80 people from the Partnership’s subgroups. Cllr Allison Gwynne, Chair of the CYPSP launched the event. The first half of the session focussed on developing the Partnership’s purpose and values. Group work then focussed on developing the needs assessment to ascertain the current position and the evidence base for planning.

The main issues and top priorities for participants included thinking holistically about family support; domestic violence; alcohol; narrowing the achievement gap and promoting positive images of young people.
