Tameside Eid celebrations

The Tameside Eid celebrations, at the beginning of December, were organised and delivered by the Council’s Arts and Events Team in partnership with members of the Muslim community in Tameside and with support from the Culture and Community Cohesion Partnership. Celebrations took place in Hyde Town Hall and included presentations, nasheeds, music and dance performances, traditional craft stalls, food and free activities.

The Cultural and Community Cohesion Partnership presented the new Community Cohesion Strategy for Tameside to TSP Board in December. A big thanks goes out to everyone who has taken the time to complete one of our ‘What does Community mean to you?’ surveys.
