The Performance of the Tameside Strategic Partnership
The TSP has a Performance Management Framework to monitor the delivery of the Community Strategy, the Local Area Agreement and Partnership Agreements. The Performance Management Framework gives us information about the services provided across the Tameside Strategic Partnership. This is used to further improve services and the quality of life for local people. The TSP Performance Management Framework is made up of different parts. Community StrategyThe Community Strategy sets out a long term vision for Tameside and high level aims for the Borough. The strategy is based on six priorities which were identified by local people, through consultation, and supported by statistical data. The Community Strategy sets out clear aims and objectives for each theme and includes related key performance indicators. They are monitored annually through the Community Strategy Annual Review and quarterly through the Local Area Agreement. Each thematic partnership has signed a Partnership Agreement with the TSP Board. The Agreements set out how they are contributing towards to meeting the aims and objectives in the Community Strategy and the key measures they are responsible for improving. The Tameside Strategic Partnership has a development plan for the next 12 months. It aims to create a more efficient and effective TSP.
Local Area AgreementThe Local Area Agreement is a three year agreement between central government and the TSP. The LAA is based on the priorities of the Community Strategy. The LAA includes 93 performance targets which support and deliver the Community Strategy’s vision and priorities. The LAA is monitored quarterly by a Steering Group. The group considers the progress of the entire agreement and the specific performance measures. The performance of the LAA measures are also monitored quarterly through the Thematic Partnership Agreements For more information about the Tameside local Area Agreement please visit the LAA webpage.
Quality of Life"Quality of Life in Tameside" monitors the progress that has been made against each thematic partnership’s performance indicators and other relevant measures. The 2006-07 Quality of Life report is separated into eight sections. Book1, Introduction and Reference (700KB)

Self AssessmentWe review the work of the Tameside Strategic Partnership every year with a self-assessment. The assessment sets out the TSP’s achievements and progress during the year, the actions taken to achieve the aims of the Community Strategy, and future work needed to improve performance. The attached document is the Tameside Strategic Partnership Self Assessment for 2006/7.
Local Public Service Agreements (LPSAs)LPSAs were the forerunners of Local Area Agreements (LAAs). They were negotiated between a local authority and the Government to improve the delivery of local public services. Tameside was one of the first local authorities to sign up to the first round of LPSAs between April 2001 and March 2004 and the second round of LPSAs between November 2004 and March 2007. For more information about Tameside's LPSA, please visit the Tameside Borough Council's website.
