TSP Conference (March 2011)
Better Life Chances
Over 180 members of the partnership from 35 organisations attended the latest successful TSP Conference, held on 3rd March 2011 at Hyde Town Hall.
The title of this year’s conference was ‘Better Life Chances’. The event provided the opportunity for delegates to develop solutions to resource challenges facing all our partner organisations, while improving life chances for all members of our communities.
Key Note Address
Richard Wilkinson, author of the acclaimed work The Spirit Level and co-director of The Equality Trust, addressed the conference on the theme of inequality. Richard explained how more equal societies lead to better outcomes for all citizens, not just the poor, and challenged delegates to consider how this idea might be delivered in Tameside.
